Assessments

We are trained in psycho-diagnostic, psycho-educational evaluations (including IEEs, or Independent Educational Evaluations), and Functional Behavior Assessments for children and teens to answer questions about cognitive, academic, social emotional, and executive functioning skills.  We offer a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary evaluation following best practice guidelines, incorporating neuropsychological testing.  Connecting with your child to allow for accurate assessment without stress is a priority for us. For parents, we provide a thorough explanation of the test data and recommendations as well as a detailed written report on next steps to prepare your child for success.

Individual Therapy/Counseling

We support and teach children who struggle with focus, organization, worries, low self-esteem, and peer relationships.  We understand that time in sessions and real-life situations provide different experiences.  Hence, we value collaboration with caregivers and other service providers to support progress and growth of the children and their families.  We provide parents with practical strategies that can produce positive results.

Social Skills Groups

Our Social Skills Groups for children ages 4 to 11 focus on social interaction and self-regulation skills to help foster friendships and allow children to understand other people’s intentions, all while learning and having fun!   All groups are formed based on age and common goals. We often form groups based on parent interest, so feel free to contact us or fill out this form HERE to be added to our list.

For adolescents ages 12-17 (minimum 6th grade+), we are certified trainers for the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®), a 14-16 week, evidence-based social skills program from UCLA designed for motivated teens and young adults who have social interaction challenges and are interested in learning skills to make new friends, to enhance existing friendships, and/or to handle conflict and rejection. Parent participation is required. See our PEERS flyer HERE or contact us now for a free screening. Groups run in Studio City or Torrance.

Girls Group focuses on teaching positive life choices in a fun and engaging way.  We cover areas in self-care, friendships, and self-identity while building meaningful relationships.  This group is for pre-teen girls.

Educational Support

With our experience in schools, we guide caregivers/parents to confidently make well informed decisions for their child.  This experience also ensures that our approach is collaborative and fair while still promoting a child's best interests, whether it’s for an evaluation, IEP or 504 plan consultation, or counseling.

We can provide schools with in-person or telehealth support in counseling, psycho-educational assessments, and FBAs, as well as trainings for teachers and support staff on topics such as PBIS, addressing challenging behaviors, and inclusive practices.

We guide parents through the IEP or 504 Plan process, such as reviewing documents and providing questions to prepare and other recommendations.

Nursery School

Your safety and well-being are very important to us. We offer in-person visits or virtual appointments.
